Make sure that you’ve selected “allow” on all of your permissions when first downloading the app. You might also make sure you don’t have another device nearby that’s blocking the blue tooth connection. To avoid bluetooth confusion with your Brainlink Lite, we would recommend that you turn off bluetooth on your phone or nearby iPad when using the Brainlink headband with the Healium app. The BrainLink Lite needs to be paired via bluetooth to your Oculus Go outside of the Healium VR app. Put on your VR goggles. Connect your VR headset to wifi by going to Settings wifi. Then still inside the headset go to, Settings > Experimental Features > Pair Bluetooth and select your Brainlink Lite. To turn on the BrainLink: Hold the power button on the side until you hear two beeps. Placing it on your forehead, you will hear two additional beeps when the sensor has detected a forehead. The BrainLink USB should be on the left side of your head, with the two sensors centered on your forehead. The other single sensor is a reference sensor. Watch the video in this earlier email.

When using Healium VR, each experience will prompt a question: Are you using the BrainLink headband? When you say yes, it will connect to the headband and display a graph showing you active brainwaves. You can choose to power Healium with Calm or Focus. (Positivity is not possible as it requires a separate channel that Brainlink Lite doesn’t measure yet. ) The graph can be toggled on/off and the difficulty adjusted by pressing down on the controller touchpad (round, flat surface on the top of the controller). Select your preferences using the trigger, and close the control panel. To turn off the headband, press the power button once. Should you hear the headband beep twice during your session that just indicates that the headband is re-establishing a connection after forehead tension or some other movement that temporarily disrupted the signal.  If it beeps four or more times, that’s an indication that the battery is low.
